Women’s national team camp starts Monday

The team will convene at the federal high-performance centre in Fussen on Monday to prepare for the 2015 IIHF Ice Hockey Women’s World Championship in Malmo, Sweden.
“We will equip ourselves intensively for the World Championship in two parts of preparation,” Hinterstocker said. “The team has developed continuously during the season and will show it at the World Championship games. During the preparation we will work detailed on our game.”
The camp includes many new faces and only seven returnees from the team that finished seventh in Sochi 2014. Several players went through the U18 women’s national team that was previously coached by Hinterstocker.
The final roster of 20 skaters and three goalies will be named during the second week of preparation.
Germany is seeded in Group B and will battle for the two spots in the final round against Switzerland, host Sweden and Japan.
